OffHours is designed to pause selected Gmail notifications on an Android device during quiet time. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Information OffHours Handles
OffHours can process Gmail notification details that Android makes available through Notification Access, including sender, subject, account identifier, notification time, and notification key. The app uses this information to apply schedules and optional priority exceptions.
Selected accounts, schedules, VIP addresses, allowed domains, urgent keywords, held counts, and optional digest previews are stored in the app's private storage on the device.
Data Collection and Sharing
OffHours does not upload Gmail notification content, account identifiers, schedules, exception rules, or quiet history to the developer or an advertising or analytics service. It does not sell personal information or use notification data for profiling.
OffHours does not request a Gmail password, use the Gmail API, sign in to a mailbox, or read messages from a mail server.
Google Play Billing
Google Play processes Premium subscription payments and provides OffHours with purchase status needed to unlock Premium. OffHours does not receive or store payment-card details. Google's privacy terms apply to Google Play transactions.
Permissions
- Notification Access identifies and temporarily quiets eligible Gmail alerts.
- Notification permission shows protection status and restores eligible alerts.
- Quick Settings access is used only if the optional OffHours tile is added.
Permissions can be revoked in Android settings at any time.
Storage and Deletion
Android backup is disabled for OffHours data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling OffHours deletes locally stored settings and quiet history. Purchase records remain managed by Google Play and may remain associated with the Google account used to subscribe.
Security and Children
OffHours uses Android platform protections, disables cleartext network traffic, minimizes stored notification information, and keeps its core notification workflow on the device. OffHours is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes and Contact
Material changes will carry an updated effective date. For privacy questions, use the developer contact on the OffHours Google Play listing or visit the support page.
